Poor Kid

As some of you have already heard, my poor little girl has been pretty sick this last week with the measles. The full-blown, no-joke red measles. Honestly, of all the funk my unfortunate children have picked up from church, this one was not even close to being the worst. I am only posting on it because of how shocking the measles rash was to me. And, for the record, the pictures I took do not fully represent how awful it was. These pics were taken the 3rd day of her rash, when it was significantly reduced. The first two days it looked like a horrible sunburn.


















Poor baby. She felt so horrible. She had a fever for FIVE days in a row. But, we are very fortunate that she did not get any of the secondary infections that tend to come with it, like ear infections, bronchitis, or even pneumonia.
